General Service T&Cs

Service Fees and Billing

  • All ongoing support, updates, and changes post-launch are billed at the standard hourly rate or quoted per project.
  • On going hourly projects are billed at the end of each calendar month, and quoted projects upon completion.
  • Invoices are due within 14 days, and future work may be paused if payments are delayed.

Scope of Support and Revisions

  • Support requests and revisions are handled within the agreed-upon scope. Additional requests, revisions, or expansions beyond the original scope may alter timescale and incur extra charges.

Clear Instructions and Project Requirements

  • To ensure the smooth progress of your project, clients are required to provide clear, detailed instructions about their requirements before work begins. This includes, but is not limited to, specific goals, design preferences, functionality needs, and any other relevant details.

Modification of Existing Work

  • If the client makes changes to the design or functionality of the website themselves, resulting in errors or issues with design or layout, the time spent to correct these errors will be billed at the standard hourly rate.

Responsibility for Third-Party Plugins and Integrations

  • Tanglefox is not responsible for ongoing compatibility issues or configuration updates needed for third-party services after the initial handover period.
  • Any maintenance or troubleshooting related to third-party plugins, integrations, or software that were functioning at launch will be billed separately.

Response Time and Availability

  • Our service hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We strive to respond to all service requests the same working day. Please submit out of hours request via email.

Ownership and Access

  • All work completed is owned by Tanglefox until payment is received in full. After full payment, ownership of any newly created work (e.g. configurations, design elements, new content) is transferred to the client.

Website Design T&Cs

Deposit and Payment Structure

  • A 30% deposit is required to begin the project and secure your place in the schedule.
  • The remaining 70% balance is due upon completion, prior to the final website handover.
  • All invoices must be paid within 14 days to avoid project delays.

Project Scope and Revisions

  • Each package includes a set number of revisions within the project’s original scope.
  • The overall design style should be finalised and agreed upon after the completion of the homepage and one service/additional page design, with layout revisions welcomed during this phase to ensure the final style aligns with your vision.
  • Additional revisions, pages, or functionalities requested outside the scope will be quoted separately and added to the final invoice.

Provision of Content and Project Timeline

  • Timely delivery of content (e.g., text, images) is essential to keep the project on schedule.
  • Delays in providing necessary materials may result in rescheduling or project pauses.

Training and Handover

  • A one-time tutorial is provided to show you how to manage your site content, empowering you to make basic updates.
  • Support for ongoing edits or additional tutorial time is available and will be billed separately.
  • Upon final payment, ownership of the website and design is transferred to you.

Additional Functionality and Third-Party Plugins

  • Additional plugins or third-party services will be quoted separately.
  • Tanglefox is not responsible for issues arising from third-party plugins post-launch; any troubleshooting related to third-party software will be billed at the standard rate.

Legal Documentation

  • It is the client’s responsibility to provide all required legal documents, such as privacy policy and terms & conditions. While we can assist with implementing these documents on the website, we are not qualified to draft or provide legal advice regarding them.

SEO

  • On-page SEO setup (e.g., page titles, meta descriptions, image optimisation) is included within your website package.
  • For long-term SEO that includes addition analytics, link-building etc., partnering with a dedicated SEO provider is recommended.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
  • Deposits are non-refundable if the project is cancelled after commencement.
  • Additional fees may apply to cover any work completed beyond the deposit.

Hosting Terms & Conditions

Payment

  • Hosting fees are billed annually in advance.

Included Services

  • Security Updates: Regular updates to keep your website protected from potential threats.
  • Plugin Updates: Maintenance of software that creates the site, to ensure compatibility and smooth operation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Ongoing checks to ensure your website is running efficiently.
  • Backups: Daily backups of your website to ensure your data is protected in case of an issue.

Excluded Services

  • Content updates or design changes. These can be and provided upon request and either quoted in advance or charged at our hourly rate.
  • Email hosting services (e.g., inbox storage, email clients).

Ownership

  • Your website remains 100% your property.
  • However, failure to pay hosting fees after reminders will result in the suspension (30 days overdue) and eventual permanent deletion (60 days overdue) of your website from our server. 

Cancellation

  • Hosting fees are non-refundable if cancelled before the end of the annual term.
  • If you choose to cancel hosting services, you are free to migrate your website to another hosting provider at any time, we can assist with the migration for an advance fee, or you can handle this independently.
